I was amazed at just how much rubbish we inherited on the allotment when we took it on. The skip that arrived on Saturday took only the weekend to fill. Thankfully, it took all the rubbish other than some of the wood that I put on a bonfire. At last the job is done.
Half the ground looks as though it is in a reasonable condition. The other half will need quite of bit of work to clean it of broken glass, bits of plastic and a variety of other bits of rubbish. Our plan is to rake as much as possible of the loose material on the surface to one side. This may take soem time.
