Blackcurrant vodka

blackcurrant vodka Mar 17

A rather pleasant find in the wardrobe where we stash our homemade fruit liqueurs: a jar of blackcurrant vodka with the fruit still in it. It made for a pleasant tipple on Sunday evening. I will eke it out over the next couple of weeks.

Hi Jonathan!

I've been watching your videos as of late because I've decided to expand my normal summer garden beyond the single raised bed that I would normally have. Though, I think I settled on doing this a bit later in the year than would be recommended, we've had a number of late frosts requiring me to keep my seedlings indoors longer than I would have otherwise so maybe it's all for the best. Nonetheless, two plants I simply do not have local access to is rhubarb and black currant. I can order them online but, when it comes to information about growing (specifically for the black currant) everything is conflicting. Some say it can be grown here and some say it can't. I live in northern Alabama, near Tennessee. I'm wondering if I should just give it a go and see what happens.
