That's Christmas dinner sorted

geese Oct 15

I did a great swap this morning. We got 2 geese for 2 jars of marmalade, 1 of jam and one of plum chutney and a goat cheese. We will have one this coming week. The other will be frozen for Christmas (assuming there is any room left in any of our freezers).

Good trade, but I don't envy you the plucking job.

We hunt geese every year here in Canada, to be honest there is little on them other than the legs and breast and for the amount of effort it takes to pluck it is easier to take just the legs and breast. We also follow a self sufficient lifestyle which includes using as much as we can but wild geese really are not worth plucking.
