Hawthorn galore

We are overrun with hawthorn hedge trimmings and branches. Not that I'm complaining! One of the other allotment holders on the Whinnies today took a metre off the height of his hedge. There's still more to do but the result was a huge pile of hawthorn trimmings which the goats love. It means I don't have to pick nettles and willowherb for them for at least a couple of days.
